Sagbayan is a 5th class municipality in the province of Bohol, Philippines.

According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 19,399 people. (courtesy of wikipedia)

Its main attraction is Sagbayan Peak, which is an observation platform

and childrens' playground overlooking a scenic valley. While some similar hill

formations are visible, it is not within the main Chocolate Hills area.

A latest introduction to the many man-made attractions in the province,

this scenic spot is located in the municipality of Sagbayan. It is made up of two huge

hills that are connected with a long stretch of cemented steps.

of one of the tourist destination here in the part of BOHOL.

On the other side, there's what they call the WATER PARK.

Which during our visit is still on developing that side.

A butterfly sanctuary, tarsier cage and statues of famous animated characters

and prehistoric creatures are additional features that can be found

scattered on specific areas.

If you want to get a much closer view of the surrounding mounds,

one can rent a viewing telescope for just 10 pesos and make some moments like this.

The second hill has a rotunda on top of it where one can get a

good view of neighboring hills

At a bird’s eye view, this attraction is a park built on top of two hills.

The food on the restaurant serves very delicious food. I like the idea that while your dining-in you can see the view of the neighboring hills. The atmosphere is very nice though during our visit there's not so much of people except for us and some personnel and a few who are just about to go out.

You can make SAGBAYAN PEAK as one of the package tour destination that you can avail. You can rent VAN at Tagbilaran City and make some choices of their package tour. Its from 8am - 5pm tour at php 2500 for the rent of the entire VAN but you can arrange more depending on what have been compromise between you and the driver.

BOHOL: BALICASAG ISLAND

This low, flat island is situated four kilometers southwest of Duljo Point off Panglao Reef. Surrounded by a sandy shell coraline beach, the island is fringed by a narrow reef shelf 9 to 49.5 meters wide. The tops of the submarine cliffs are covered with hard coral while lower levels are covered with sponges and gorgonians. A thriving fish community is found around the cliff face area. Jacks, barracudas and mackerels also abound.

Kids would LOVE the idea to swim to this very nice island ..

You can make arrangement with the boat personnel at alona divers in Panglao Island. A lot of them stayed at the resort waiting for clients who would want to go to the island, for the rent it would cost you about Php 2500 for the entire boat but you can start at 8am and be out of the island by 5pm depending on the weather. It was fun sailing with all the islands and scenery you would see going to balicasag island. they can provide you life jacket and gadget for snorkling. The island is protected by sanctuary. So fishing is prohibited on this island.
